Management Team

Andrea Morante


He has over 40 years of international experience in Investment Banking and as executive of large corporates in fashion and luxury. He has a long-lasting, ongoing experience as board member of public and private companies. He started his career in Arthur Andersen, then moved to roles of increasing responsibility in Morgan Stanley, Investcorp and Credit Suisse, where he was in charge of M&A for Southern Europe. He was CEO of Pomellato till 2015 and is now the Chairman of Sergio Rossi. He holds a degree in Economics, La Sapienza and an MBA, University of Kansas.

Francesco Conte

Chief Executive Officer

He has over 20 years of experience in private equity, first in LBO Italia, and then in BC Partners, where he was Managing Director of the Italian office. He started his career in the M&A department of Morgan Stanley in London and then moved to Bain & Company as a management consultant. He holds a degree in Economics, University of Genoa and an MBA, INSEAD.

Stefano Cassina

Senior Partner

He has over 20 years of experience in private equity, first in Advent International, where he worked as a Principal in the London, Frankfurt and Milan offices, and then in J. Hirsch & Co., where he was Managing Director. He started his career in Arthur Andersen and then moved to the structured finance department of Greenwich Natwest. He holds a degree in Business Administration and an MBA, Barney School - University of Hartford.

Stefano Focaccia


He has over 10 years of experience in corporate restructuring, first as an advisor in EY where he assisted corporates in drafting and negotiating financial restructuring plans, and then in BNL-BNP Paribas where he was responsible for Special Situations. He started his career in an international advisory firm and then moved to GE Capital. He holds a degree in Business Administration, University of Bologna, and worked as researcher in CRESEM and Cardiff Business School.

Marco Guglielminetti


He has over 10 years of experience in private equity in Italy, first in Investitori Associati and then in 21 Investimenti. He started his carrier in management consulting at Monitor Company and then moved to Value Partners. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, Politecnico di Milano, and a Masters in Finance, London Business School.

Carlo Michero

Chief Financial Officer

He has a long-lasting experience in the private equity sector, mainly in 3i, where he was Finance and Operations Director for Southern Europe, also in charge of the incorporation of the management company in Italy and the management of several portfolio companies. He was also CFO of Pillarstone Italy during set up phase. He started his career in finance departments of large Italian corporates, and has also worked in the not-for-profit sector as CEO of RNDM. He holds a degree in Economics, University of Turin.

Lorenzo Acciari


He developed experiences in corporate finance, working as an analyst in J.P. Morgan’s M&A team in London, and in management consulting, working in Bain & Company’s Sao Paulo and Paris offices where he left as a manager, following projects in strategy, restructuring, post-merger integration and due diligence. He holds a degree in Business Management and an MBA, INSEAD.

Paolo Cavagnino


He worked on several M&A, debt restructuring and financing transactions assisting local and international corporates and financial investors. He started his career in DVR Capital and then moved to EY. He holds a double degree in International Management, Bocconi University-HEC Paris.

Marco Pontiggia


He developed a solid experience in debt restructuring as Senior Analyst in EY and then as Director in an independent Corporate Finance firm in Milan, where he assisted corporates in structuring and executing financial and operational turnarounds. He holds a degree in Finance, Bocconi University.

Margherita de Girolamo

Portfolio Manager and Investor Relations

She has a long-lasting experience in the private equity sector (Sofipa and Palladio Finanziaria), as well as operational roles in a portfolio company of Arner Private Equity Fund. Then she was head of M&A in Swiss Merchant Corporation SA (ex Arner Merchant).
She holds a degree in Economics, Università degli Studi di Bari, and is a Certified European Financial Analyst. For almost ten years she was Teacher in Valuation at Private Equity course of AIAF (Italian Association of Financial Analyst).

Silvia Mossali

Financial Manager

She has been working for over 15 years in management companies of private equity and venture capital funds. She started her career in the Italian offices of 3i, and then worked for 5 years in Principia SGR Spa.

Caterina Nakonieczna

Personal Assistant

She worked for over 10 years as a Personal Assistant at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi law firm. Then she was an Office Manager in an independent legal boutique. She holds a degree in Political Science and she started her professional experience at ENIT Agency at Chamber of Commerce and Industry Italo-Polish in Warsaw.

Laura Mattietto

Office Assistant

She holds a degree in Foreign Languages, Università degli Studi di Padova, and she worked for 3 years as Office Manager at RWC Partners, an investment management firm in London.

Arianna Fittipaldi

Personal Assistant

She has a long-lasting experience as an executive assistant at Pirelli RE and Pomellato. She started her career as a production assistant in movie studios.

Giuliano Manfredi

General Services

He has a long-lasting experience as a security guard at Fininvest Group. From 1998 he moved to Pomellato SpA, handled general services, as well as security.

The Investment Committee comprises the Chairman, the CEO and other members of the Management Team. It has an active role in scouting and selecting investment opportunities. Its core responsibilities include the scoping, analysis and proposal to the Board of both investment and divestment opportunities.
